Have you noticed the various industries and companies that are coming out of the woodwork to tell us with expensive primetime media ads how much they care and how much it’s better for us to be together during this time AND we are all in this pickle together and we will all make it to the other end and we will all be better for it.
Auto manufacturers, big pharm, national restaurant chains, well that's their story and they are sticking with it. But wait there’s more! Every single credit card company that offered forbearance on a couple months of credit card payments conveniently forget to mention -in their kumbaya ads sure, you can miss a few payments but they aren’t going to forgive the interest due. Oh…They will just add that to your existing balance thusly making interest on interest. What humanitarians they are.
Then there’s the sundry of state governors - that while still in shock and not knowing which way was up and couldn’t say enough wonderful things about President Trump’s help. Not so much now. New York's Governor Andrew Cuomo,, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer, must talk as a group each evening to get their talking points aligned. If any of them were smarter than DJT THEY would be President. My 5 married children, my 16 grandchildren, my wife and I....all survived COVID and it had nothing to do with the self-promoting media and the afore mentioned big businesses OR the goofy Governors. I believe it had everything to do with our federal government putting together a team and a plan and following through.
But gosh...aren't we all glad we are all in together? My Daddy use to say “Black or white they are still a dog.”
